Barbara Baumgarten-Austrheim, MD, was the head of the ME Center at Oslo University Hospital, Ullevål (previously called Ullevål University Hospital) in Oslo, Norway, since it opened at 2008.[1] She stepped down as head in 2012, but still is a consultant at the Centre.[2][3]
She is one of the authors of the 2011 case definition, International Consensus Criteria.[4]
