Infection + mitochondrial function[edit source | reply | new]

Human herpesvirus 1 protein US3 induces an inhibition of mitochondrial electron transport http://jgv.microbiologyresearch.org/content/journal/jgv/10.1099/vir.0.81949-0

Potential treatment[edit source | reply | new]

Garth Nicolson has proposed that mitochondrial lipid replacement therapy can ameliorate mitochondrial related fatigue using a proprietary blend of phospholipids called NT Factor.

Courtney Craig has proposed treatment of mitochondrial damage in ME/CFS patients using fasting, caloric restriction and a ketogenic diet.[1]

These both seems like single without any scientific citations. I don't think it belongs on this page, at least not in the form of "Dr X proposes." If they stay, then they should be in sections discussing the science of fasting & mitochondrial biogenesis, for example --JenB (talk) 12:33, 5 May 2018 (PDT)
