Cytochrome P450 2D6 or CYP2D6 is a gene that may be linked to chronic fatigue syndrome.[1][2]
ME/CFS[edit | edit source]
The first publication from the long term ME/CFS Gene Study, which used the Fukuda criteria for chronic fatigue syndrome only, looked for the SNPs that were more common in CFS patients than in healthy people, and which were most likely to be harmful. CYP2D6 was one of the top ten genes most likely to be harmful that more common in CFS patients, occurring in over 70% of patients.[1]
