Professor Sir Terence Stephenson is a British pediatrician, researcher, and Nuffield Professor of Child Health at the University College London's Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.[1] Stephenson was knighted in 2018 for "services to Healthcare and Children's Health Services."[2]

CLoCk study[edit | edit source]

Stephenson is principal investigator for the recently announced Non-hospitalised Children & young people (CYP) with Long Covid study. Better known as the CLoCk study, this research will focus on symptoms, risk factors, and prevalence of Long Covid among 11- to 17-year-olds. Prof. Esther Crawley is co-author of the CLoCk study, which is funded by the UK's National Institute for Health Research.[3][4]

Health Research Authority[edit | edit source]

Prof. Sir Stephenson has been Chair of the UK's Health Research Authority (HRA) since his appointment in September 2019 with an expected term of three years.[5]

Prof. Sir Terence Stephenson was Chair of the UK's GMC from 2015 to 2018,[1] during which time it was asked to investigate the conduct of PACE trial authors by Dr. Sarah Myhill.[1]
