Traditional medicine
From MEpedia, a crowd-sourced encyclopedia of ME and CFS science and history
Traditional medicine is an umbrella term for the medical traditions of early, non-Western, and indigenous cultures. Today, many people frustrated with the answers given by Western medicine turn to various traditional medicines for treatments. The efficacy of traditional treatments is mixed and while there are many anecdotal reports of success, relatively few have been proven by scientific methods, although that number is growing as study continues.
