- copy a Stubs translations from WikiMedia meta - either use as it is or swap the message for a system message and translate those instead
- pages can be bulk created very quickly by exporting from another wiki then importing (only admins can import but anyone can export) - you can also export linked files - there might be a way to use this to bulk create custom system messages

Update[edit source | reply | new]
PD and PD-USGov are partially translated, but the rest is extra unimportant description that can be hide for Non-English users, or just left underneath as it is. notjusttired (talk) 19:28, August 14, 2019 (EDT)
Translation resource[edit source | reply | new]
- https://translatr.varunmalhotra.xyz/ is very useful for extremely simple translations, eg a word. Results can be formatted using the different replace text / add prefix text tools online. Might be useful for things like templates using LangSwitch where there is already an icon to help indicate the purpose, eg Done notjusttired (talk) 15:12, August 23, 2019 (EDT)
Create a new account message[edit source | reply | new]
Translations are needed for MediaWiki:Questycaptcha-createaccount and possibly other Questycaptcha messages. LocalizationUpdate extension will do these - we just need to check after that they have been created. I haven't added to the page since it's not a template. Njt (talk) 07:02, September 20, 2019 (EDT)
- Feel free to add this one to MEpedia:User interface translation, since it's a user interface message, not a template.
