Flavonoid

Flavonoids are polyphenolic compounds found often in plants, including parsley, blueberries, black tea, citrus, wine, cocoa, turmeric, and peanuts. Ongoing research seeks to link these compounds to favorable health outcomes including antibacterial and antioxidant uses as well as fighting cancer, inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases. At this point, no claims about flavonoids have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
