Clomipramine, sold under the brand name Anafranil among others, is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA).[1] It is used for the treatment of obsessive–compulsive disorder,[1] panic disorder, major depressive disorder, and chronic pain.[citation needed] It may decrease the risk of suicide in those over the age of 65.[citation needed] It is taken by mouth.[1]
