Talk:List of famous people with long COVID

From MEpedia, a crowd-sourced encyclopedia of ME and CFS science and history

Change red links to wikipedia? -- Fryfat (talk) 03:56, May 27, 2023 (UTC)[edit source | reply | new]

Unless there's an existing page on the famous person, I believe we should forward to Wikipedia. I wouldn't be surprised if this could be handled automatically with a template.

I agree. And I just looked on the long covid page on the wikipedia - they don't have a list with celebrities that have (had) long covid: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Long_COVID#List_with_celebrities/famous_people_having_LongCovid

ME-Pedia is further in this matter :) I am invited to give a lectore on a big conference on this topic, so I could really use photos of before/after to show people the impact of long covid. Thy, --SvenAERTS (talk) 12:54, September 27, 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for the suggestion Fryfat. The red links to the people's names are best left as they are, so people can see which ME-pedia pages are wanted pages - I expect quite a number will be created in future. Some may become patient advocates, as has happened with ME/CFS. We wouldn't normally link to external pages in the main content of an article except in the "Learn more" section above the references, see MEpedia:External links. If Wikipedia want to create their own page I would expect they might have different sourcing requirements. ~Njt (talk) 22:24, September 27, 2023 (UTC)
