Pia Simpson
Pia Simpson and her husband Richard Simpson are parents of two daughters living with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). Together they work at the UK charity, Invest in ME.[1] The organization concentrates on three key areas in order to raise funding for biomedical research - education, publicizing and lobbying. Every year since 2006, the Simpson's have arranged the Invest in ME International ME Conference which attracts world renowned presenters.

In 2013 the Norwegian ME Association presented awards to Pia and Richard Simpson, and to Professor Malcolm Hooper for “untiring and exceptional contribution to the ME cause”.[2]
