Wmf:Privacy policy is linked to from the footer. Is this link right - should it be MEpedia:Privacy policy instead?

What belongs on here? Having looked at MediaWiki Commons and Wikipedia I would hope for something more straight forward. Obvious privacy issues relate to Cookies (link in footer), info held for users with an account, plus use of social sharing tools (requested to add the Extension:AddThis - should there be some assurance about the data not being passed on to MEAction's mailing lists unless you sign up as s volunteer? You read my mind! I def agree something like MEpedia:Privacy should be part of the documentation--as well as maybe some other adjustments for privacy issues? I noticed that the old version of the Welcome message was actually publishing folks' real name if they gave it. The sign-up form does mention it could be used for attribution, but I think it would be better to spell out that it will immediately be published, if that continues to be the case. On the Suggested_tasks page, under the “Admin tasks” heading, are two requests: one to update the copyright message and another to create a privacy policy. So these are known issues to be dealt with. The real names probably shouldn’t be published except to attribute content. The bug in the welcome message was an honest mistake that has now (hopefully) been fixed so that real names are not included. Hope this helps.

Apparently, the old privacy policy page was MEpedia:Privacy policy, but the WikimediaMessages extension created a new privacy policy page here.
