Cromolyn sodium is an anti-inflammatory medication known for its effect on mast cell stabilization. Cromolyn sodium' is medication is prescribed for mastocytosis and mast cell activation disorder (MCAD).[1]

Costs and availability

Available over the counter as eye drops or nasal spray for allergy sufferers.[1]

Oral cromolyn sodium or Gastrocrom is available by prescription and used for systemic treatment.[2]
