Hi, and welcome to MEpedia.

I noticed that you edited two articles: one on the Gupta Program and one focused on responding to criticisms of the Gupta Program. I’m going to remove these pages shortly, for two reasons:

-MEpedia already has an article on the Gupta Program. You are welcome to suggest or make constructive edits to the existing article, but creating a separate article covering the same topic from a different perspective is not consistent with MEpedia’s structure and guidelines. -MEpedia articles should be informational rather than argumentative. A page created primarily to respond to or refute other people’s points reads more like an opinion or advocacy piece than an encyclopedia article. That approach is not in keeping with MEpedia’s goal of providing neutral, well-sourced information to the public.

I recommend saving any material you want to keep before the pages are removed. Some of the sources you found may be useful, and I may draw on them when I work on the existing Gupta Program article.

To prevent further duplication or edit conflicts while that work is happening, I will also be temporarily locking the existing Gupta Program page.
