Hello, I am the original author of the article. I cannot find my password so I created a new account. I understand the criticism that the page is not relevant to CFS, and I cannot disagree. As for sources, they are only not there because article is unfinished. I just could not figure out a better place to put this information, and now I am surprised to see that it is easily accessible. Thanks for hosting this page and I hope it improves visibility of this entire website as well! I may move this somewhere else if it gets deleted here, but IMO better keep it here. I am planning to renew my work on this page as well as invite other potential editors. [[User:Pssd2|Pssd2]] ([[User talk:Pssd2|talk]]) 12:12, April 6, 2025 (UTC)

MEpedia is a crowd-sourced, Wikipedia-style encyclopedia of the news, history, and science of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS).
The goal is to have a very extensive Wikipedia-like PSSD article as well as a PSSD article on Wikipedia. The reason why we will use ME-pedia over Wikipedia is because we are going to include information that the BigPharma-funded Wikipedia will not allow, but we will also create a Wikipedia version of this article based on this one.

=== Getting started ===
# Please do not edit this article unless you have seen information about it outside the ME-pedia site.
# Do not make edits without an account.
# Source editing will be preferred over visual editing so please view the source of the article or at least this talk page to understand how it works (by clicking the "edit source" link above). Visit [https://meta.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Wikitext_examples this page] if you need more info. Most importantly, this is an external link: [https://www.pssdforum.org FORUM] and this is a reference: <ref>https://www.pssdforum.org/</ref>
# Periodically create external backups of this article and talk page source. Current backups: [https://archive.ph/QyR9y] and [https://archive.ph/xbvOm]
# Review the list of resources in the bottom of this page. Visit those links and look through them. They are all you need. You will not need any additional Google searches.
# Answers to Captcha questions are Myalgic and Chronic.
# If you may be involved in Wikipedia then create an account and start editing random non-medical articles ASAP if you haven't done it yet because if you don't do it then their admins and full-time editors who work for pharma may use [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Single-purpose_account WP:SPA] as an excuse to reject the whole article.

===Inviting others to edit===
"Significant contribution" is spending at least 1 hour, preferably at least 3 hours improving the article. If you are going to invite others please follow the rules below.
# Do not make public invitations until 5+ (preferably 10+) people made a significant contribution each. This includes publicly findable discord and facebook groups.
# Do not invite anyone else before making a significant contribution yourself.
# Invite only those people who are likely to make a high-quality significant contribution.

=== Writing this article ===
The goal of the ME-pedia article is to be as extensive as possible. Add absolutely everything you know about PSSD and everything that is possibly related to PSSD. Add summaries of all literature you can find. Copy-paste most, if not all of the existing encyclopedic PSSD content you have seen such as now-deleted PSSD Wikipedia article and PSSD Rxisk article. At the same time, maximize number of references. In the "perfected" version of this article there should be 100 to 200 references. Each reference is added by inserting <mark><nowiki><ref>https://yoursite.com/pagename</ref></nowiki></mark> into page source. They will be automatically listed on the bottom of the article. Every single claim, every single symptom name, every single drug name etc. has to be referenced in scientific literature. If you cannot find scientific reference then you may refer to a blog post or a forum post but in that case it will be excluded from Wikipedia version. Also if the total number of WP:MEDRS references is low then the article may not be approved to Wikipedia. Include most if not all papers from "pssd literature" lists as reference, as well as tons of other papers which may be related and documents from places such as EMA.

=== Next steps ===
'''After this article on ME-pedia is perfected''' do following:
# Get this ME-pedia article featured on PSSD forums.
# Create a draft page on Wikipedia which will consist of a copy of this article. Edit the draft to adapt it to Wikipedia. Add all the [[internal links]], then delete non-MEDRS references and then delete unsourced information. The ME-pedia article has to be so big that even after this deletion the Wikipedia article still has to be big. Note: at this step you shouldn't make it clear that you are just copying the article from MEpedia. Copy just one part less than 10%, improve it then move on to another part.
# Establish consensus that PSSD has to have its own Wikipedia page.
# Move draft's content to [https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Post-SSRI_sexual_dysfunction&redirect=no this page].
# Rename ("move") that page to "PSSD".
# Add links to that page from other Wikipedia articles.
# Keep watching the page so that it doesn't get deleted or damaged.
# Create translations of the extensive ME-pedia article into other language Wikipedias.

==List of literature to be reviewed==

The list below is combination of PSSD literature on Rxisk, PSSD literature on Italian blog, references under the main PSSD Rxisk article, references on 2014 PSSD article on Wikipedia, references under Wikipedia PSSD draft. All of them must be reviewed. Review process:
# Choose an article.
# Add "<nowiki>I am reviewing this one. ~~~~</nowiki>" into end of the line that has the link to that article.
# Do the review process: add all main findings of the article into appropriate sections of ME-pedia article and also add references with <nowiki></ref></nowiki> tag. If the finding is already in the article just add the reference. The same claim can be referenced multiple times and the same article can be used as reference multiple times.
# Move the list item into Reviewed section, change the "I am reviewing this one." + your signature into "reviewed by <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>" in page source.
# Keep repeating the process until every article is reviewed.

Goals and Guidelines[edit source | reply | new]

The goal is to have a very extensive Wikipedia-like PSSD article as well as a PSSD article on Wikipedia. The reason why we will use ME-pedia over Wikipedia is because we are going to include information that the BigPharma-funded Wikipedia will not allow, but we will also create a Wikipedia version of this article based on this one.

Getting started[edit source | reply | new]

  1. Please do not edit this article unless you have seen information about it outside the ME-pedia site.
  2. Do not make edits without an account.
  3. Source editing will be preferred over visual editing so please view the source of the article or at least this talk page to understand how it works (by clicking the "edit source" link above). Visit this page if you need more info. Most importantly, this is an external link: FORUM and this is a reference: [1]
  4. Periodically create external backups of this article and talk page source. Current backups: [1] and [2]
  5. Review the list of resources in the bottom of this page. Visit those links and look through them. They are all you need. You will not need any additional Google searches.
  6. Answers to Captcha questions are Myalgic and Chronic.
  7. If you may be involved in Wikipedia then create an account and start editing random non-medical articles ASAP if you haven't done it yet because if you don't do it then their admins and full-time editors who work for pharma may use WP:SPA as an excuse to reject the whole article.

Inviting others to edit[edit source | reply | new]

"Significant contribution" is spending at least 1 hour, preferably at least 3 hours improving the article. If you are going to invite others please follow the rules below.

  1. Do not make public invitations until 5+ (preferably 10+) people made a significant contribution each. This includes publicly findable discord and facebook groups.
  2. Do not invite anyone else before making a significant contribution yourself.
  3. Invite only those people who are likely to make a high-quality significant contribution.

Writing this article[edit source | reply | new]

The goal of the ME-pedia article is to be as extensive as possible. Add absolutely everything you know about PSSD and everything that is possibly related to PSSD. Add summaries of all literature you can find. Copy-paste most, if not all of the existing encyclopedic PSSD content you have seen such as now-deleted PSSD Wikipedia article and PSSD Rxisk article. After this article on ME-pedia is perfected do following:

  1. Get this ME-pedia article featured on PSSD forums.
  2. Create a draft page on Wikipedia which will consist of a copy of this article. Edit the draft to adapt it to Wikipedia. Add all the internal links, then delete non-MEDRS references and then delete unsourced information. 4. Move draft's content to this page.
  5. Rename ("move") that page to "PSSD".
  6. Add links to that page from other Wikipedia articles.
  7. Keep watching the page so that it doesn't get deleted or damaged.
  8. Create translations of the extensive ME-pedia article into other language Wikipedias.
