Medium chain fatty acid

Medium chain fatty acids (also called medium chain triglycerides or MCTs) are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail of 6-12 carbon atoms. They are readily used as energy in the human body and can help induce ketosis. Coconut oil and palm kernal oil are sources.
