MEpedia:Archiving

From MEpedia, a crowd-sourced encyclopedia of ME and CFS science and history

Archiving is a process for saving old discussions for reference purposes while keeping the current discussion page from becoming so long that it becomes difficult to read or use.

In the source editor[edit | edit source]

If you are using the source editor, and a discussion page gets very long, you can use the templates {{collapse top}} and {{collapse bottom}} to condense any resolved conversations and make the page more readable.

Note: Make sure to place {{collapse top}} below the relevant section header so that other contributors will still be able to see what the discussion was about and consult it if relevant to a question they might have. Also make sure to place {{collapse bottom}} on a new line entirely by itself.

Please do not collapse any discussions that are not yet resolved.
