ME-Foreningen (Norwegian Myalgic Encephalopathy Association) is a Norwegian patient association.
ME-Forskning (Norwegian ME Medical Research) is a fundraising initiative by the patient association.
Aims[edit | edit source]
The Norwegian ME Association was founded in 1987.[1]It:
- Is a patient association for those suffering from ME, and anyone else wishing to support the ME cause
- Strives to make the illness known, understood and accepted by society
- Aims to influence politicians and public authorities in order to create better conditions for ME sufferers
- Supports research projects related to ME
- Cooperates with other organisations at home and abroad, for the good of the members
- Wishes to encourage peer support among ME sufferers to establish county branches and local groups throughout the country
