Talk:Visual dysfunction
I have tearing which is actually a symptom of dry eyes, believe it or not. The eye doctor said my eyes were very, very dry. Eyesight became so bad I could not make out facial features of someone 10 feet from me. They looked like an X-Files alien. They could no longer fit me for contacts properly and glasses, even the thin plastic type, were too thick and heavy for my left eye. I had laser surgery by an eye surgeon and he was able to get my site to 20/30. However, I have developed those visual processing problems. Too much to look at on a written page or website with illustrations and writing I can't take it in. Being out driving and grocery shopping on a sunny summer day I have had panic attacks from the light (it doesn't happen in the spring, fall or winter.) In one doctor's office he has big pane windows and I have to sit there with sunglasses on.
I know many have much worse visual dysfunction but this is my experience and I think many patients are experiencing issues like this but neither they or their doctors are connecting it to their ME/CFS diagnosis. I think those diagnosed with ME have these issues much worse while CFS patients may have visual dysfunction but not acute or severe.--DxCFS (talk) 07:41, 7 September 2016 (PDT)
