Cistus Incanus is a natural product and sold as a nutritional supplement. It works against the retrovirus HIV by targetting the proteins.[1] It works as an entry inhibitor[1] at the entry level which means it prevents the entry of the virus into the cell in a very early state and prevents virus particles from docking on cells.

It works also against bacteria[2] and viruses[3] and has anti-fungal activity.[4]

It may have a positive effect against the cause of ME.[5]
