Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid found in fish oil. It is the most common Omega 3 in the brain and retain. It is a major structural component of grey matter.
DHA may be obtained directly from fish consumption or can be converted in small amounts from EPA.
DHA increases the fluidity of cell membranes.
