Talk:Cortisol

From MEpedia, a crowd-sourced encyclopedia of ME and CFS science and history

I undid the change in which a clause about POTS was added in the middle of another sentence. Even if the clause may be correct it creates a problem that now the reference is wrong. One can't use a reference if that source doesn't refer to the newly inserted info. Since the referenced source (i.e., Blockmans, et al) did not refer the use of fludrocortisone for POTS then that information has to be separate from Blockmans' information. This is just an, albeit awkward, condition of wikipedia writing. If MEpedia wants everything referenced then MEpedia can't use a reference that doesn't apply. That makes sense. I removed the Addison's reference if that helps? It's strange to mention it but *not* POTS given how commonly it is prescribed in our community to patients for their POTS symptoms. It would be a bit like saying "Valcyte, a drug commonly used for complications of HIV" without mentioning it in relation to its usual use among htis patient population. But open to other suggestions! --JenB (talk) 23:02, 9 July 2018 (PDT)
I undid your edit (removing Addison's disease) because that was in Blockmans paper. POTS was not in Blockmans paper, so my comment was only about the insertion of the POTS info. Kmdenmark (talk) 12:50, 10 July 2018 (PDT)
