Uta Behrends

Prof. Dr. Uta Behrends is a professor for pediatric infectiology and immunobiology.[1] At the Children's Polyclinic of the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Prof. Dr. med. Uta Behrends heads the MRI Chronic Fatigue Center (MCFC) for children and young people up to the age of 25. The focus of care and research is on post-infectious fatigue and ME/CFS after mononucleosis caused by Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and after COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 (Long COVID).[2]

Prof. Dr. Behrends is also a chairperson of the first parents' initiative in Germany: Elterninitiative ME/CFS-kranke Kinder und Jugendliche München e.V.[3]
