Peter Johnsen

Peter Holger Johnsen, MD, is an Internal Medicine physician at the University Hospital of North Norway, Harstad, Norway. He states that myalgic encephalomyelitis/ chronic fatigue syndrome may be caused by a disorder in the natural intestinal flora possibly from a leak of bacterial products from the intestine.[1]

Dr Johnsen is conducting a clinical trial funded by the Norwegian Health Council on the use of fecal microbiota transplant (FMT) on the treatment of myalgic encephalomyelitis/ chronic fatigue syndrome.[2]
