== Looks good! == One q: “You can access your own user page by clicking on any link to the name of your account (when you are logged, this appears the top of every window on the right side.” On my browser screen, it’s at the top of the screen, towards the center. I wonder if there are significant differences between browsers? (I’m using Chrome and Safari) If so, I need to be aware of the differences. Also, you wrote on the MEpedia:Discussion page that one can use an “Add topic” button or link when writing on a talk page. I removed your reference because I couldn’t find any “Add topic” button or link anywhere. Can you enlighten me? Thanks. Pyrrhus (talk) 21:10, 18 February 2019 (EST) :Ooh thanks Pyrrhus for letting me know about where it appears on your browser--actually mine also varies depending on the size of my window so I'll edit that. As for "Add topic"--now that this talk page has been started, among the tabs offered, I see "Project Page" and "Discussion" on the left and then from center to the right, "Read", "Edit Source", "Add topic", "View history" in that order (and then the star for watchlist, "More" and the search bar)... is it different in one or more of the browsers you've tried? Canele (talk) 21:28, 18 February 2019 (EST) ::Holy Shit!!! Now I see the "Add topic" link, just where you describe it. I guess there aren't any real browser differences after all. However, when I am using the wikitext editor for a non-Talk page, the "Add topic" link disappears. Weird. ::Okay, I just clicked on the "Add topic" link and all I got was a pop-up dialog saying "Leave site? Changes you made will not be saved." I guess you have to click "Add topic" before you type anything else... ::Pyrrhus (talk) 21:55, 18 February 2019 (EST) :::Oh good, I'm glad it worked for you! And yes, it only appears on Discussion/Talk pages -- I presume that's because when editing a regular page, only occasionally would you want to start a whole new section that automatically got added to the bottom of the page, whereas that's how folks are encouraged to use discussion pages. So that "Add topic" helps make sure the discussion page gets formatted properly. :::But yep, if you've click it after you start editing, you'll lose your previous changes. So one or the other, basically. Canele (talk) 22:28, 18 February 2019 (EST) ::::Thanks for the explanations! ::::Pyrrhus (talk) 23:00, 18 February 2019 (EST)
