Subpages are pages on MEpedia that are named the same as an existing page, but with a special extension.
When subpages are used
- Many template documentation pages are subpages. For example, Template:Cite book may have a documentation ("doc") subpage named Template:Cite book/doc.
- Foreign language versions of pages are stored in subpages. For example, the article List of news articles on ME and CFS may have a German-language ("de") subpage named List of news articles on ME and CFS/de. For more information, see Help:Foreign languages.
- If you wish to work on a draft version of a new page, you can store the draft version in a subpage of your user page. For example, user "Pyrrhus", who has a user page named User:Pyrrhus, might create a "draft" subpage called User:Pyrrhus/draft. For more information, see the section titled "How to coordinate large changes" in MEpedia:Collaboration.
- If you wish to keep a to-do list, you can keep the list in a subpage of your user page. For example, user "Brettz9", who has a user page named User:Brettz9, might create a subpage called User:Brettz9/To-dos.
How to create a subpage
Create the page as you normally would, but specify the page name, then /, then the name of the extension.
