In 1999, he became a Researcher in Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. In 2005, he was appointed the Chaired Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Neurochemistry, heading the Bergquist group at the Department of Chemistry, Biomedical Centre, Uppsala University.
