Interleukin 7 (IL7) is a protein produced by the stromal cells in bone marrow and the thymus. Interleukin 7 provides both survival and proliferative signals to IL-7 receptor-bearing (IL-7R+) cells.[1]

IL7 encodes a protein that is a cytokine important for B cell and T cell development.[2]
