'''Geoffrey Peter Hallmann''' is an [[Australia|Australian]] patient, advocate and researcher. A former solicitor, Hallmann was diagnosed in April 1998 and was the chair of [[ME/CFS Australia Ltd]] until March 2023<ref>{{Cite web | url = https://mecfs.org.au/about-us/ | title = About Us|website=ME/CFS Australia Ltd|language=en-AU|access-date=2023-03-02}}</ref> He holds honours degrees in business (Accounting/Data Processing) and law, masters in law, public health and clinical epidemiology, as well as diplomas in legal practice and financial planning. In 2017 he commenced a Masters of Public Health at Griffith University and graduated in March 2022. His thesis was entitled "Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Stigma: A Visual Framing Analysis of Online News Media and Stock Image Platforms", supervised by Prof. Sonia Marshall-Gradisnik and Prof Don Staines. He received an award for Academic Excellence for the year following submission of the thesis. == Qualifications == Hallmann was completing a PhD entitled Persons with ''ME/CFS: An Examination of Health Issues and Relationships with Social Institutions in Australia'' at Southern Cross University, under supervision by Dr. Rosanne Coutts and Dr. Yvonne Hartman. He commenced his PhD in 2004. Since 2013 he has been on hiatus.
