Asthma is a chronic lung disease. It is known by wheezing, coughing, and chest constriction caused by inflammation leading to narrowing of airways to the lungs. Episodes of asthma are called asthma attacks or flareups and are often triggered by inhaled substances. There is no known cure, but asthma is a manageable condition.[1]
