The amygdala hypothesis of chronic fatigue syndrome is an hypothesis published in 2002 by Ashok Gupta, and describes the theory underlying the Gupta programme, which he developed.[1]

Theory[edit | edit source]

Evidence[edit | edit source]

There is very little evidence to support this theory, and it has not been an important focus for research into ME/CFS.
