Alison Wearden

Alison J. Wearden is a psychologist and professor of Health Psychology at the University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. Professor Wearden, who has a particular interest in chronic fatigue syndrome, did her MSc on cognitive dysfunction in chronic fatigue syndrome. She is also a former co-editor of the Journal of Health Psychology.[1]

Wearden was the Principal Investigator of the 2006 and 2010 FINE trial (Fatigue Intervention by Nurses Evaluation trial), a study to evaluate the effectiveness of home delivered rehabilitation and supportive listening for patients in primary care with chronic fatigue syndrome/myalgic encephalomyelitis or encephalitis (CFS/ME).[2]
