From MEpedia, a crowd-sourced encyclopedia of ME and CFS science and history
My wife has been ill for about 15 years now, of which 9 are more or less home/bed bound. She was diagnosed with ME/CFS in 2013, which primarily helped getting recognition. For several months, she has not been able to leave the bedroom anymore.
You can see where my motivation to contribute to ME-pedia comes from. I currently am a postdoctoral researcher, and I hope I can put my academic background to good use by translating recent scientific articles into digestible ME-pedia entries for a wider public.
