Vitamin

A vitamin is an organic molecule found in small amounts in the diet, the lack of which causes overt symptoms.[1] Vitamins can not be manufactured by humans and must by obtained by ingesting plants and bacteria.[2] One exception is Vitamin D, which can be synthesized in the skin following exposure to sunlight.[3]
