Valentina Bodina Cohen

Valentina Bodina Cohen, originally from Italy, came down with infectious Mononucleosis in 1981 which progressed to myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) at the age of 14.[citation needed] She was finally diagnosed in 2011 by Dr. Andreas Kogelnik of the Open Medicine Institute in California. Having to struggle to study and function, she managed to receive her J.D. from Universita' degli Studi, Milano, Italy.[citation needed]

She spearheaded the use of the hashtag #pwme for People with ME on Twitter.[citation needed]
