Tremors are a trembling or shaking, or a sense of a quivering or vibrating feeling. Tremors can have many different causes in patients with ME/CFS.[1]

Symptom recognition[edit | edit source]
Tremors are not generally used in diagnosis criteria for ME/CFS.[2][3][4]

Possible causes[edit | edit source]
Tremors can be caused by:
- Anxiety, nervousness or emotional stress[3]
- As a sensory symptom, in reaction to a toxin[3]:142
- Weakness, e.g. muscle weakness
- As a symptom of different diseases,[1] including postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) and other forms of orthostatic intolerance[1][3]:22
- As a side effect of certain medications, including dextroamphetamine, Dichloroacetate (DCA),fluoxetine (Prozac), fluvoxamine (Luvox), gabapentin (neurontin), paroxetine (Paxil, Seroxat), sertraline (Zoloft)[5][3]
