Steve Topple has highlighted the bias of the Science Media Centre's information and briefings in support of the PACE trial and other controversial ME/CFS research following the same biopsychosocial model. He has highlighted the influence of the SMC on specific journalists and news publishers, including the BBC, The Times, the Daily Mail and Kate Kelland at Reuters.[4]

The Chronic Collaboration[edit | edit source]

In August 2021, Mr Topple helped to found The Chronic Collaboration, which campaigns against the psychologization of ME/CFS and for improvements in the UK's treatment of chronically ill patients.[citation needed]
