Simon R. Carding, PhD, is a Professor of Mucosal Immunology at Norwich Medical School, University of East Anglia, UK and the Research Leader of the Gut Biology Research Programme, which is part of the research collaborative, Gut Health and Food Safety (GHFS) Programme.[1]

2017 Ramsay Award[edit | edit source]

A team comprised of Dr. Simon Carding and Fiona Newberry (PhD candidate) of the Quadram Institute of Bioscience and Dr. Tom Wileman of the University of East Anglia were awarded a 2017 Ramsay Award grant from the Solve ME/CFS Initiative for researching alterations in the intestinal virome in ME/CFS.[2]

ME/CFS Common Data Element (CDE) Project[edit | edit source]

Member of the Biomarkers Working Group and the Immune Working Group of the Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Common Data Element (CDE) Project sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.[3]
