Shirley Conran

Shirley Conran (born 21 September 1932) is a British novelist and journalist. Her best-selling books include Lace and Superwoman,[1] and she has been a columnist for Vanity Fair, women's editor of The Daily Mail and a feature writer for The Observer. She was diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) at the age of 38 after being admitted to hospital with viral pneumonia and has continued to suffer with ME since.[2] She is a patron of Tymes Trust, a British patient charity for young people with ME.
