National ME Observatory is a collaborative project involving Action for ME and three UK universities, the University of East Anglia (UEA), Hull-York Medical School, and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.[1] It aims to fill gaps in research knowledge and to establish a strategic approach to developing of a coherent corpus of research knowledge in this field, based in the UK.[2] Action for ME established the collaborative in March 2006 after they were awarded over £500,000 by the Big Lottery Fund.[3]
