Martina Stamm-Fibich (* 23. April 1965 in Erlangen-Bruck) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and member of the Bundestag. Since June 2018 she is Patient Representative of the SPD parliamentary group.

Political statements and action[edit | edit source]

Stamm-Fibich invited to the first parliamentary expert discussion on ME/CFS in the Bundestag, which was initiated by German Association for ME/CFS and MillionsMissing Germany. In a following press statement, she acknowledged the urgent need for action towards a better patient care and announced further dialogues in order to sensitize the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to this topic.

In reaction to MillionsMissings postcard campaign to Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn and other politicians, Stamm-Fibich promised that she and her colleagues would keep working on this topic and that she is in active exchange with relevant actors of ministries and self-administration to achieve tangible success for those affected. Specifically, it was about how the neccessary research for ME/CFS can be financed, she wrote.
