Maija Haavisto is the author of both fiction and non-fiction books, including an extensive book about treatments for myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and fibromyalgia called Reviving the Broken Marionette. Born on April 3, 1984 in Finland, she currently lives in Amsterdam. She became ill in 2000 with sudden onset ME/CFS following a fever and flu-like illness.[1]
