==List not populating correctly== Long shot but does anyone have a guess about why Special:OrphanedPages isn't populating correctly? For instance, it lists Andrew Wright and similarly Special:WhatLinksHere/Andrew_Wright claims there are no inbound links--but when I went to de-orphan his entry, I found his name already correctly linked from the UK entry. Clicking on it worked fine. I'm mystified... Canele (talk) 23:53, 5 April 2019 (EDT) :Well now it's removed him from the list but only because I linked from here, not because of the UK link. Hrm. Canele (talk) 03:29, 6 April 2019 (EDT) ::Lists on pages that are generated with the tag "PagesInCategory|ADD COUNTRY researchers" or "PagesInCategory|ADD COUNTRY clinicians" do not de-orphan pages. Every country page seems to have such tags. So the researchers and clinicians aren't technically orphaned because they are listed on other pages, they just aren't removed from Special:OrphanedPages. I have no idea how to remedy this or even if it's worth the effort. Kmdenmark (talk) 12:33, 6 April 2019 (EDT) :::Oh huh, thanks for the explanation. It makes some sense that transcluded categories don't deorphan pages, it's just too bad if lots of the listed pages aren't really orphaned--I don't want anyone else wasting a bunch of time checking lots of entries that don't need to be. I began working on it because Notjusttired raised the question of orphaned pages and in principle I do think it's better it's better if the encyclopedia is more knit together, though by comparison, I think there are some stats on Wikipedia that most internal links there never get clicked on at all. So you probably right it's not the highest priority problem to solve. Well, I'll at least add this info so hopefully anyone who wants to work on orphaned pages will be alerted... Canele (talk) 13:29, 6 April 2019 (EDT) ::::That's interesting about "some stats on Wikipedia that most internal links there never get clicked on at all." I guess most readers are singularly focused on a topic. I appreciate all the work you are doing to improve the site.
