ME-Foreningen (Norwegian Myalgic Encephalopathy Association) is a Norwegian patient association.

ME-Forskning (Norwegian ME Medical Research) is a fundraising initiative by the patient association.

Aims[edit | edit source]

The Norwegian ME Association was founded in 1987.[1]It:

  • Is a patient association for those suffering from ME, and anyone else wishing to support the ME cause
  • Strives to make the illness known, understood and accepted by society
  • Aims to influence politicians and public authorities in order to create better conditions for ME sufferers
  • Supports research projects related to ME
  • Cooperates with other organisations at home and abroad, for the good of the members
  • Wishes to encourage peer support among ME sufferers to establish county branches and local groups throughout the country
