History & Services Offered[edit | edit source]

Leeds ME Network was established in 2011. The previous local group, Leeds & District ME Group (LDMEG), a registered charity, had recently folded because it involved too much work and expense for people with ME. The new group was deliberately set up to be low energy and low cost. We have a website (free of charge from Yola) and monthly meetings in the cafe of the West Yorkshire Playhouse. These are just an informal chat over tea or coffee so once again there is no cost involved, but people have a chance to trade information and chat about whatever they like. Additionally, there is a sub-group (which has survived from the days of LDMEG) which organizes trips to see plays at the Playhouse at discounted cost. If people contact us through our website we can add them to our email list to receive reminders of meetings and other information.
