==Research== There is currently no effort to research the disease or treatments for the disease by the French government. Most of the rare publications about the disease come from the scientific council of the association, the most notable being <ref name="em-consulte" />, which reports some of the international biomedical research, but endorses the UK [[biopsychosocial]] model of the disease, citing the [[PACE trial]] as a source. The paper also makes some bold claims without citing any source, like that CFS "greatly improves or cures itself in 3 to 5 years in half the cases" and "psychological factors prevent the patients from recovering." <ref name="em-consulte">{{Cite journal | last = de Korwin | first = J.-D. | author-link = Jean-Dominique de Korwin | last2 = Chiche | first2 = L. | authorlink2 = | last3 = Banovic | first3 = I. | authorlink3 = | last4 = Ghali | first4 = A. | authorlink4 = Alaa Ghali | last5 = Delliaux | first5 = S. | authorlink5 = | last6 = Authier | first6 = F.-J. | authorlink6 = François Authier | last7 = Cozon | first7 = G. | author-link8 = Grégoire Cozon | last8 = Hatron | first8 = P. -Y. | last9 = Fornasieri | first9 = I. | date = 2016-12-01 | title = Le syndrome de fatigue chronique : une nouvelle maladie?| url = http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0248866316303526|journal=La Revue de Médecine Interne|language=fr|volume=37|issue=12 | pages = 811–819|doi=10.1016/j.revmed.2016.05.003|issn=0248-8663|pmc=|pmid=|access-date=|quote=|via=}}</ref> A small team of researchers from the faculty of medicine of Marseilles regularly publishes papers about the disease,<ref>{{Cite web | url = https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15715687/ | title = Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Assessment of Increased Oxidative Stress and Altered Muscle Excitability in Response to Incremental Exercise | last = Jammes | first = Y | authorlink = | last2 = Steinberg | first2 = JG | authorlink2 = | date = Mar 2005 | website = Journal of internal medicine|language=en|pmid=15715687|archive-url=|archive-date=|url-status=|access-date=2020-05-26 | last3 = Mambrini | first3 = O | last4 = Brégeon | first4 = F | last5 = Delliaux | first5 = S}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web | url = https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19457057/ | title = Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Combines Increased Exercise-Induced Oxidative Stress and Reduced Cytokine and Hsp Responses | last = Jammes | first = Y | authorlink = | last2 = Steinberg | first2 = JG | authorlink2 = | date = Aug 2009 | website = Journal of internal medicine|language=en|pmid=19457057|archive-url=|archive-date=|url-status=|access-date=2020-05-26 | last3 = Delliaux | first3 = S | last4 = Brégeon | first4 = F}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web | url = https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22112145/ | title = Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Acute Infection and History of Physical Activity Affect Resting Levels and Response to Exercise of Plasma Oxidant/Antioxidant Status and Heat Shock Proteins | last = Jammes | first = Y | authorlink = | last2 = Steinberg | first2 = JG | authorlink2 = | date = Jul 2012 | website = Journal of internal medicine|language=en|pmid=22112145|archive-url=|archive-date=|url-status=|access-date=2020-05-26 | last3 = Delliaux | first3 = S}}</ref> the last one being "Association of biomarkers with health-related quality of life and history of stressors in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome patients."<ref>{{Cite web | url = https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27580693/ | title = Association of Biomarkers With Health-Related Quality of Life and History of Stressors in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Patients | last = Fenouillet | first = E | authorlink = | last2 = Vigouroux | first2 = A | authorlink2 = | date = 2016-08-31 | website = Journal of translational medicine|language=en|pmid=27580693|archive-url=|archive-date=|url-status=|access-date=2020-05-26 | last3 = Steinberg | first3 = JG | last4 = Chagvardieff | first4 = A | last5 = Retornaz | first5 = F | last6 = Guieu | first6 = R | last7 = Jammes | first7 = Y}}</ref> Some ME "deniers" also publish regular papers, one of the most prolific being Pr.
