The Candida diet or Low Sugar Low Yeast diet (LSLY diet) is a diet low in yeast-containing foods and low in sugars, which aims to prevent growth of fungal yeast, such as Candida albicans.

Theory

The Candida diet or Low Sugar Low Yeast diet is based on the theory that yeasts such as Candida albicans are the underlying cause behind chronic fatigue syndrome, although scientific evidence to support this theory is lacking.[1]

Evidence

A clinicial trial by Hobday et al (2008) found no difference in outcomes between a healthy, balanced diet and the LSLY diet.[1] Both diets had a high very but similar drop-out rate.[1]
